Wyvern Art Fund is a community-oriented art organization supporting Berlin-based artists engaged in practices of collective creation and action in multiple forms.

Micro-Grant Program

Wyvern Art Fund offers a monthly Micro-Grant Program providing one-time, no-strings-attached financial support to independent artists experiencing financial need. These micro-grants function as a breathing space and are often awarded to artists facing temporary hardships related to life transitions, health challenges, or other immediate difficulties.

Scholarship Program

Our annual four-month Scholarship Program serves as a space for knowledge exchange and collective creation for artists and thinkers working across collaborative practices.

Each year, eight practitioners are brought together around a specific theme to explore the intersections of their practices and backgrounds. The program seeks to identify crossroads where diverse experiences can generate meaningful and imaginative collaborations rooted in local contexts and community needs.

We cultivate a space in which togetherness itself becomes a co-created experience shaped by the participants. Alongside artistic exchange, participants cook together and engage with social protocols of collective decision-making and feedback.

The program concludes with a co-curated public launch event — a participatory program inviting the wider community to engage with the practices, tools, and conversations developed throughout the four month program.

Approach and Values

Across all programs, we experiment with socially conscious selection criteria and co-created, open-ended structures for cooperation. Our goal is to understand artists not only through their artistic output, but as whole individuals situated within specific sociocultural, historical, and political contexts, and as participants in broader community networks.

We aim to provide a nurturing environment for the wider community by democratizing and sharing practices that allow independent artists, communities, and the spirit of collective creation to flourish. At the same time, we seek to bring the challenges surrounding collective practice in today’s difficult times into ongoing conversation.
